Simple. Fast. Supported every step of the way.
Getting started with an apprenticeship at Impact Academy couldn’t be easier. Our onboarding process takes just 30 minutes and is designed to make things straightforward for both employers and learners. We guide you through every step, ensuring all compliance checks are completed, funding is secured, and your learning journey can begin.
The process begins with the employer completing our quick Online Application Form. This gives us the essential details we need to set up your apprenticeship journey.
We use APTEM, a secure Learner Management System, to manage the onboarding process. Most of the required forms and checks are completed online via APTEM, saving time and paperwork.
Learners and employers will be invited to register on APTEM, where you’ll complete the following:
- Onboarding forms (personal details, employment information, etc.)
- Skill Scan Review (understanding existing skills and experience)
- Eligibility checks (ensuring apprenticeship funding rules are met)
- Right to Work and ID documentation upload
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) preparation
- Training Plan and Written Agreement confirmation
Once the forms are completed, our team will carry out an eligibility review with both the learner and the employer. This ensures:
- The learner meets apprenticeship funding requirements.
- The role is suitable for the chosen apprenticeship.
- The employer understands their responsibilities.
This process ensures all parties are clear and ready before learning begins.
From the onboarding information, we produce all required compliance documentation, including:
- Apprenticeship Agreement
- Training Plan
- Written Agreement
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) statement
This documentation is essential to secure funding and confirm the apprenticeship officially.
Once onboarding is complete, the learner begins their Induction session. This marks the official start of the apprenticeship. Learners are introduced to:
- Their tutor and support team
- The structure of their programme
- How to use APTEM for learning, progress tracking, and communication
From this point, the learning journey is fully underway.
To secure government funding, employers must use the online Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) Account. Don’t worry – we’ll guide you through the process.
- Levy employers: Apprenticeship costs are drawn directly from your levy account.
- Non-levy employers: You’ll co-invest just 5% (or 0% in some cases), with the government paying the rest.
Funding must be reserved before the apprenticeship can begin, and our team will help ensure it’s done quickly and correctly.
